Gosh, I've watched and paused it so many times. It's the most unique insignia I've ever seen. I've Googled everything I could to match that mens style of ring and came up empty.
Of course, I'm preconditioned to look for this kind of thing:

Should it be considered sexual harassment?
by Addison0998 inon thing that really makes me angry and disgusted is when i think of the way in the past that the elders pressured me over and over again to have a meeting with them over a petty make out and petting incident.
they asked such instrusive, personal questions like, “did he touch your breast, for how long?
under or over your clothes?” i know that this happens to thousands of people, especially young women, and it’s just not right, it makes me so angry that i almost feel tempted to confront the elder who especially did this, when i see him at the convention in a few weeks and tell him what a sick person he is and how much trauma he caused me, manipulating me and pressuring me to answer such instrusive questions while he sat there and took notes!!

Hey! My PMs are down (tried Firefox, Explorer, clearing browser history, cookies, crackers, biscuits - the whole digital pantry). Nothing's working at the moment, but I promise to reply as soon as this techy glitch is fixed, @Addison0998 :).

@ttdtt He's 13 or 14 years old. You can't write that on the Internet.
And PS: you stole my idea.

@James Mixon: "...our feature sin is bigamy".
I thought the consequence of two mothers-in-law was punishment enough.

For Those Claiming That the GB are Simply Naive - Another Philly Story

Wow. Compelling article.
Just one thing... the intro seemed a bit personal (like the journalist, David Gambacorta, is an ex-Witness himself):
"Stephen Lett is 69, bald, and round-faced, with eyes that sometimes spring open to dramatic effect while he’s talking — if you can manage to get an audience with him."
While personal descriptions are good for effect in creative narratives, I don't believe they translate as innocuous in a newspaper, such as The Daily Inquirer. But that's just my personal opinion.
I think the story and facts alone hold enough shock factor. There wasn't really a need to highlight Lett's more negative appearance to add weight to the article.

Hey sweetie, I actually deliberated over even opening this thread when you first posted it because the subject matter makes me
so
damn
ANGRY.
You have no idea how sorry I am that you had to undergo such vile questioning by these perverted men. I honestly wish I could just give you the biggest hug and some support right now because you most certainly were wronged.
Should you decide to go through with exchanging words with the elder in question, a good tip I heard is to set your phone on record. This ensures you choose your words carefully and keep your dignity. Think of it as a silent reminder to keep yourself in check should you feel the emotions rising like bile.
Honestly, this is the face of every elder daring to probe with such private (and unnecessary!) questions:
Sending you so much love. We've got your back, girl.

Disfellowshiped- reinstated- damaged
by Damaged indon’t know how i ended up here but no one who understands will listen, or any one who will listen doesn’t understand.
i grew up in the “truth”, i was baptised at 17 as it was encouraged by the elders.
i really didn’t understand what i was getting into.

@BlackSpiritAgain: "I came in the power of the spirit."
You came here in the power of an IP address.
Now feel free to post your name and congregation details if you're so sure the spirit of Jehovah's organization is on your side.

Our own "Russia" style letter writing campaign to request our private data!?!? Please share
by stuckinarut2 inwe all know of the tactic employed by the society to flood the russian govt with the mass letter writing campaign.
no doubt, one of their aims was to send a clear message of the governing body's views to the russian authorities.. what can't we all do the same to the governing body?.
with the advent of ever tightening data privacy laws occurring in many countries around the world, we now have a valid and legitimate reason to write the society!

Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho
@stuckinarut2 I actually tried doing that, and I got a response!
Please find attached the letter they sent back:
